I think that only applies during heat? Correct me if im wrong but an omega can only get pregnant during heat. Which is why that whole marking system is in place to protect the mate. I believe that they did it during his heat for procreation purposes only I believe. They're probably ok doing it otherwise during regular weeks. And his heat also wouldn't be so bad after being marked and having a child. I'm new to omegaverse so I might be wrong.

Actually it differs depending on the trope there is this omegaverse where they think alphaxalpha creates a stronger alpha and omega should only marry beta. There is this one where alpha x omega is distasteful to the society. So it depends on the writer on how they see the omegaverse.
As someone answered, it depends on how the writer is interpreting the universe. Most I have read suggests that it is very difficult for the omega to be with someone other than the alpha that bit them. As we can see in this one, he was actually barfing during sex. But given time and effort it can be accomplished (sometimes....again, depends on the author). Other than that, the bite also changes their pheromones so that the omega's heat no longer affects anyone other than their alpha partner (which is one of the reasons our omega was looking for an alpha partner)
The alpha has no such problem. They can make a bond and then go paint the town (as this alpha did).
i thought when an alpha and omega form a packed they can't really go have sex with other pplz. doesn't the marked omega get really sick when they have sex with others?
