If you're not gonna make Ya-yul the ML at least let him become an older brother/close friend character for her!! Don't do that "100% implies romance hand on cheek puppy devotion" thing to us if you're going to betray us anyways
Like dammit I do prefer him as a ML! It's frustrating to see these tropes and knowing he's not!! I can imagine the drama and conflict that will come if he catches feelings for MC, I'd honestly prefer him never to and just care for her platonically. He can still be overprotective of her even if he doesn't care for her romantically!!!
