I agree with you. But for me, it's entirely due to the art-style though. I think the author was going for a needy-puppy-like appearance, but instead he looks like a stalker/creep (not the endearing type, nor the charismatic stalker type, like the seme from killing stalking)
When I first read it, the artstyle looked a bit weird, like they took his face from when he was child and put it on a taller body it looked off but I got used to it.

How should i put it... i think the blond seme is kind of annoying (pls don't hate me >w<), could be the artstyle of the eyes or idk. I feel for him because it must be hard to get your feeling crushed everytime, but something just doesn't sits right with me. Please please don't be offended.
