personally don't think the process itself was rushed. it was conveyed pretty well early on that kana has been overprotective and naho was misunderstanding some things but i guess those nuances were lost because of the translation (still massive thanks to the translator for taking this on). translation (esp the notes) also played a part on how the words were perceived by the readers so it affected the progress for the readers in some way. doesn't help that at this point naho was already perceiving everything with a more negative light.
i do think that kana shouldn't have touched naho immediately during their "confrontation" and did better in quelling the misunderstanding. would've also been better if he was more apologetic about it - yeah yeah i know it wasn't his fault but more reassurance and feeling bad about it would've made him appear more genuine. especially that naho misunderstood him about him saying he's average and took it negatively. and he kept teasing him about the misunderstanding all the while making naho cry more... i liked the angst but never do that again!
but more importantly, THIS IS MY KIND OF ANGST. THIS IS RARE. I WANT THIS. GIVE ME MORE OF THIS. I read this thinking I may have co-wrote this since it hits all my preferences so much
I agree!!!! the angst in the beginning was chef's kiss, but the resolution is just for me :((I also agree with the translation part (still, thank u translator ) frog_mcgee
if you know or encounter more BL with this type of angst please do tell this is my type of stories so much
