I also think ist cute an yes it could be improved but it's incredible good for a first one and ist also good for a normal one. I saw 20est that were much worse. I still like reading it again because the people are cute, they love each other and they are not really good in starting a relationship but they try.
And to all people that say he should have done anything else instead of calling a random guy, being hungry is horrible, like really horrible. Normal people don't know how it feels to eat nothing for days. You can get crazy because of it and the mc is always afraid of hurting someone. Ando also he's a vampire, so we can assume it's not the same like skipping breakfast^^
Yes cheating bad but it's someone who falls in his normal pattern in a very stressful situation. And he regretted it! And he told his partner that he regretted it.
I think he did the best he could do in the situation after understanding he's doing something wrong.
