Really, that's just ludicrous. How can you claim any part of it captures your heart when the core plot—the part you claim to despise—is what drives the whole narrative? It's completely ridiculous, and honestly, it sounds like you're just faking it. Stop the charade, admit you don't actually despise it; you seem to enjoy pretending to. There's nothing groundbreaking or unique left in the story if you truly abhor the central concept. You're not fooling anyone. Drop the act and get off your high horse.

Are you... roleplaying? If you have this type of black and white thinking, you'll never be allowed to enjoy anything you have even the slightest critique on. All media has flaws and there will never be media that has no valid criticism. I refuse to believe you love every single part of every media you claim to enjoy and consume. The best part is that OP never critiqued the story itself, just expressed their negative opinion a character. I'm begging you to get at least a sliver of media literacy or you'll keep being an ignorant asshole forever.

Just a btw you incorrectly assumed that I dislike how the horrid acts were presented in this manhwa, I don't. Yehwa's rape and torture, as well as complexity of his sworn son's feelings are presented very well, none of it is romanticised, and we can clearly see the consequences and trauma they cause. I actually personally like Muyeon as a character, while disliking him as a person, since he's written eloquently and his struggle with himself seems believable.
What I want is Baeksa and Yehwa to co-exist in that body and Yehwa slaughtering everyone who violated and tormented him, like his disgusting dirtbag stepson. Then, they both go to the heavens and become a dragon in one body. Hehehe
