i stopped reading at chapter 140 but from what i remember, isis was a horrible bitch who watched her husband rape seth and the proceeded to blame him for it and for "taking her husband away" so what's the problem with people hating her? correct me if i'm wrong please

I like the inclusion of her perspective and how she offers a different perspective to the narrative -- very much like Sandra from A Cruel God Reigns (iykyk), in the sense that they both delude themselves from the reality that was shown to them. She's flawed and stuck in her head, which makes her an interesting character for me.
That being said, I get why people hate her, especially as how we, as the audience, see a lot of things from Seth's perspective. She's been a major obstacle for both characters of the main romantic pairing, which can get on people's nerves, I believe.
A Cruel God Reigns...............................please don't remind me of that one. Takes the reader's emotions to REALLY bad, BAD places... (trigger warning doesn't even begin to describe it...) Ennead's like a sunny walk in the park, with unicorns and rainbows, compared to that one. I couldn't even finish it and just googled the ending online.
The hatred for Isis' got nothing to do with her thwarting the main pairing, though, because people have hated her guts since loooooong ago. She did use Seth as a convenient emotional scapegoat. Aaaaand she also tried to have the other gods erase Seth's soul from existence, because she knew that would hurt Osiris. The reason I myself don't hate her is that she managed to curse herself with "ineffectiveness" before she completely gave in to her pettiness.
I mean... Isis even put an overriding reset button on herself (that she knew she wouldn't be able to undo, later) because she realized her sanity was slipping... Am I the only one who sees that as totally awesome? It remind me of how when an anime character I know was about to get possessed by a dark entity that would make them evil, they sent the last shred of their conscience away, because they knew that shard of themselves would be instrumental in taking their new "evil self" down.
Oh, Im sure no one fully understands their completely unreasonable hatred towards a person who witnessed their brother get raped by her husband, blamed her brother for stealing her husband, and is now selling off her son to marriage. Truly, Poor her. Lets all gather for a moment of silence folks
