I may have figured it out... I think it's hair dye. I think they are undercover and help people in some kind of witness protection or something. The red is hair dye to integrate the girl into society so she can evade whomever.
OMG OOOH! I wonder if mc's dad is some how part of it to. Maybe mc and the girl are twins and she was living with their mom and as we know Mc his “stepdad”. Perhaps the mom and dad are both being hunted and the girl game over to three Island in much the same way as mc. I don't have all the details figured out, they're still piecing together in my head, but I just can't see these guys being evil enough to human traffickers not murders.
that would be so crazy of them to make the "blood puddle" hair dye but rereading episode 8 with correct translations it really looks like they have no idea about any girl. if it was witness protection its weird that she has to dye her hair at the island when shes probably not allowed to go outside either way.
I accidentally read a spoiler comment after commenting on this and assuming they weren't lying, I do know who she is now. That's said, I still don't know if she is real or not. I wanted to reread this with the official translations for this exact reason: I am trying to figure this out before it happens so hard. I don't know why I want to be right about this particular story so bad, but here we are lol.
so the girl is the daughter and she actually was a ghost? it makes sense because she was acting real aloof but it doesn't explain why we see the blood in the basement. is the blood a red herring and they are just torturing someone else? i thought at first that the girl was the one who was cooking up the drugs or whatever they are supplying, but could be they just have someone else hostage cooking the drugs.
so if shes a ghost, why was she holding onto the guy? this is the first time a story actually has me interested ┗( T﹏T )┛
