Yes the previous style was very gritty and almost raw. I liked it. The new style is cleaner, pristine but with this story, I feel like the older style worked more to help set the tone while you’re reading. It helped capture that dark aesthetic with a miserable dark story.
I tried, I really did, but I wasn't able in acclimating myself to the new artistic style. The atmosphere of the previous art style was absent from the new work.
