Wauuu... Are we talking about same hananoi here? Cuz I don't find him doing anything like u mentioned it. Yes he gets jealous over her friends but he has never stopped her from interacting with them or spending time with them. Infact he acknowledges how her friend was there for her when she was in her lowest saying he can't compete with that. He also didn't sulk Infront of her funeral. He was okay with it. He was okay even thought he was not her 1st priority. She came back half way cuz she realized how imp that day is for him and remembered how he made her bday special. Hananoi clearly understood her and even told her they can go there other times. About Yao kun it's really normal lol. Realistically speaking I wouldn't want my gf to be close to other guys and I love how she sets boundaries after knowing he is not okay with it. It's not selfish at all lol. He knows hotaru can never be his and he is okay with that? He literally says it's fine till she keeps smiling it's fine even tho he is not her priority.
The story is cute and real too. It literally shows how hananoi has become a better person over time. Though he has anxiety he doesn't push hotaru in anyway.
Exactlyyyyy and tbh about yao kun, he’s not just a guy friend. He’s literally in love with her and even told him so, if i was hananoi i would be pretty pissed if my girlfriend kept in close contact with anyone actively in love with her.
Yeaa those latest episode got on my nerves. Yao kun knowing she is in relationship with hananoi still is kinda trying to hit on her and she doesn't help it either. Imo yes it's good to be nice but we need to set boundaries. I swear if hananoi gets hurt cuz of her and Yao I m going to hate on both of them:'(
I thought this story was cute but Hananoi actually has a lot of issues and it just makes the story not so cute anymore. He doesn't let hotaru make any new friends or spend time with them because then he sulks and she feels bad. The same with her family especially on the funeral when she canceled on him and he became very upset and sulky and then she left halfway??? It didn't matter whether they were done with the service or not or if she even knew her gpa well it's still disrespectful. Even with Yao-kun (I believe they have a very great bond, even better ahn with Hananoi) she wants to be close to Yao-kun after solving their past like she even wanted his number but because she knows Hananoi doesn't like it she didn't. He knows that too but he doesn't mind because he's selfish. I get that it's because he has anxiety about them but it's still too much and he needs to work on it and the fact that Hotaru can never just be his, that she has her own life.
