I totally agree. It's very sad when someone goes down a self destructive path because they got their heart broken.
But in this instance it's pretty annoying seeing Chiharu basically throwing a tantrum by becoming a person with little morals or self respect and becoming a slut basically.
I get what you mean about inconsistency in his character development. One moment he is acting out by playing around at night with whomever the next he almost rapes his best friend, who has been nothing but lovingly kind to him. Then all of a sudden he is then in love?!
This could have been done better, given the potential of the story.
You are absolutely right...chapter 4 could have been done better. Chapters 1-3 were good. I don't know if chapter 5 will be good but nonetheless, chapter 4 had literally spoiled the entire manga. A good piece of work is destroyed just like this!
Yes, it's pretty much a done deal. But we can still hope for some sweet extras in ch 5 or at the end.
Chapter 4 is such a letdown. Though the mangaka didn't show it clearly, but it is pretty obvious that Chiharu sneaks out regularly at night and got himself hooked up with ladies (i.e. sex).....Though he had lost his first love to his dad, why couldn't he cherish himself and his body more?? Why must he sleep around casually?? And the story development is super abrupt.....one moment, Chiharu is being rebellious and sleeping around, and the next moment, he confesses that he loves satoshi? These 2 parts don't link at all.....If Chiharu had loved satoshi, then why did he sleep around and stayed out late at night despite satoshi's many attempts to dissuade him from doing so? Also, from chiharu's interaction with satoshi in their dorm room, i don't see any sign or sparkle of love from chiharu at all....though for satoshi, it is pretty obvious that he likes chiharu....
I had originally wished that chiharu's and satoshi's first sex is with each other....Now, my hope is crushed!!! Chiharu grew up from an angel to a jerk/playboy in the end....what a disappointment!!!!
