I don’t like how they made the former oppressed slave the villain. Like, none of the ruling class are opposing slavery and are perfectly happy with the twisted system they have. Why go out of the way to show how absolutely awful Rashta’s life was if she’s going to be made the evil home wrecker. What, was the former slave supposed to turn down the literal emporer when he wanted to sleep with her? Did the empress ever advocate for slaves rights? No? Then Rashta owed her no loyalty or consideration.

It feels so scummy to have the former slave be evil bc she stepped above her station, especially since Rashta becoming more unhinged and viscous is the result of isolation and manipulation by others of the ruling class. That redheaded woman who treated her like trash was actually rewarded and suffered no consequences for treating someone with no power so horribly.

I like the empress as a character, but there are no “good” people in this story. If a character exists in a story where slavery is an accepted system, and they do not at the very least, bare minimum, verbally oppose that system, then I can’t root for them. Personal opinion but the treatment of Rashta’s entire character in this feels too slimy for me to continue.

Omg I meant to respond to the first replyI'm sorry for that. And about the empress training, she was getting it far easier than navier did when she was a child. It only became navier level hard when navier divo... Celestia ludenberg

Ah my bad as well i guess haha. Anyway yeah i sound like I hate only Rashta but I don't like the majority of the characters in this story. Stupidshu is self entitled and had put the 2 women at odds. Put himself in a pedestal.. He could have easily lesser down the litigation between Rashta and Navier if he told the later of his plans. Plus he should have looked after Rashta's more carefully instead he closed himself in his study with the baby. Even him got red signs that Rashta may have some screw lose (the bird thing) but ignored it. Navier understandably didn't want to get along with Rashta and was still hesitant / dubious if Rashta was indeed a slave.... by acting all cold, mature and professional to the emperor she unintentionally fed him the idea that they've fallen out of love which led to Sovieshu's plan with Rashta. She acted very indifferent after Rashta's arrival too. Or rather she hid her emotions and suffering leading Sovieshu to think she does not love him and thus he picks Rashta side to incite a reaction while to Rashta her coldness was interpreted as her being undermined and not taken seriously. Rashta suffers a bit with "Everyone is againts bc I'm a slave" which lead to build up frustration that explode in "I have to make them pay".

Plus we can see now that the ignorant poor slave childish persona she had had been a facade a front she has learnt would get men to protect her. Now that she longer need that we can see she knows what she's doing and she's no sheep being lead by people more powerful than her.

Yeah Rashta barely didn't much as an Empress. I think she only held gathering. While Sovieshu's is handling both his job and Navier a previous work. Reason his often in his studies. I don't she aimed to be an empress at all. Or rather she loves the title but not the responsibility and it actually means. Reason she doesn't study and take seriously her classes and studies.

Everyone have pretty much their agenda. And rashta too. A guaranteed peaceful life is one of her dreams. When that's done her second aim become getting rid of everyone that belittled or abused her actually or made up delusion of threats.
The only beings I fully think are 100% victim are the bird and the kids.
