I highly doubt it was actually trying to despite women or femininity, considering the mangaka herself is a woman if anything it just shows off how our society works. Nowadays being a guy who likes pink or likes to create handcrafted stuff will be called homo by most people. PS: Your comment sounds awfully butthurt.

Just because a person is a woman does not mean there is no internalised misogyny.

Projecting an actual cultural issue into a BL manga is not a very valid point to dislike it (Mangaka wasn't trying to offend women but practically only pointed out how it works in society). I also never directly said being a woman anyhow excuses the fact there might be or might not be /internalized/ misogyny.

Yeah, actually it IS a very valid reason to dislike a manga, after all, most everybody knows how people feel about men doing feminine things by now, the manga never made the social statement that doing feminine things is good because it actually showed how one can be MASCULINE and still do feminine things (so, actually, it did the OPPOSITE. Oops?) AND it's cliched ESPECIALLY when the author could have avoided ramming that point into our brains, yet AGAIN, and still created an enjoyable manga, because they already HAD a point that the whole manga could turn on WITHOUT including the misogynistic theme. OOPS?

But that's not even what the OP, to whom you were responding with YOUR original point, said. They were simply stating that they don't like it when BL manga includes things like that. They never directly said it was the only thing but you pounced on someone else when they CORRECTLY extrapolated what you were trying to say from what you, YOURSELF, claimed to have indirectly said. So, funny, you seem to be accusing other people of not reading what you post but you're the one who is doing that very thing, yourself. *You* ALSO seem rather butthurt that people are taking misogyny seriously rather than ignoring it like the mainstream, INCLUDING yourself, would like them to do.

Oh shit, breathe it out. I don't want you get seizure out of this, darling. Actually I'm far from butthurt (I apologize, from the amount of caps lock it was the only point I managed to read fully well, since as you said, I do not read the comments whole.) more likely amusing myself over the internet as many other people do as I truly enjoy triggering people online. Yes, funny; ha ha. Wait, hold on. I'm butthurt from people taking misogyny seriously? No. I don't give a flying damn about it. I'm not a person that floats around cyberspace and defends weak souls and the right opinions because as we all know, if it came to real life, we all would be quiet and only weakly stutter if anything (probably just sit behind TV and curse at the news) than voice out the same opinions we defended before. So, hey, hey whoever wrote that comment; I'm just a weak human like everyone that doesn't do shit about anything in particular and thanks to whom this world is slowly going to garbage. ╮(╯▽╰)╭
