Although it's heartbreaking to have sad ending, but it's too rare and sometimes I'm both a sadist and a masochist myself to anticipate that angsty tearjerker ending.

Since the author did mention about a sad ending.....from the looks of this story as it is going on....in one of the chapter the lady in white did said that he defied death because of his wish of apologizing to pado so I feel like even if they get together like in a slow process of both of them talkin again.... I feel like our mc will turn or like become water again after Pado finally forgive mc and disappear..... Since our mc wuld be forgiven n that he will finally be in peace and continue to the afterworld....
