ML probably bribe an admission officer or got some connection with someone in the admission administration. In USA, there was some news of richass parents giving bribes in order for their kid to get admitted, even if they did not meet the standards (of course it is illegal).

It wasn’t really mentioned how, but in the raws it was ML’s father’s secretary who did it. Idk how but the secretary did something to the student application (maybe bribery and connections), and MC overheard it while ML was talking on the phone.
