Ah returned after a long time. I read few chapters at the beginning I forgot and started again but I couldn’t understand it much. So, probably I would like a brief summary of what happened till now. Since it’s all here and there for me. ╥﹏╥
From what I could understand ( yes I am lil bit confused too ) the mc is a taoist and is raising paljae since baby ( I think that counts as baby ) and that wasn't the first time they met , they met a long time ago where paljae was the king of turtoises ( maybe I'm wrong ) and the mc was a child they met when some people from heaven came after paljae ( bc he was in his bad boy era ) and then he encountered little mc in a little cave and they start living in the cave long story short mc was put into a bigs turtoises mouth bc paljae wanted to protect him ( cuz he began to develop some kind of affection towards mc ) bc the person's from heaven found them in the end paljae was being hurt by them?? And other parts of the story is that we see backstory from mc ( very sad ) and cutesy cute moments of paljae ( really cute ) and now they began to travel ( maybe to other provinces) and trouble started to follow them like you see in the latest chaps ( if you want me to tell about mcs backstory hit me with a notif, ill be going out for some time so i might take a while ! )

Basically mc could see how people died from a very young age and his family ( him and his crippled father ) were not in a good financial situation so mc started working from a very young age to sustain the family but then he became jobless ( I think ) bc the people in that village thought he was a demon cuz he has white hair ( who at that time was considered a person who came back from the dead ) he would burn his skin easily in contact with the sun ( vampire vibes ) and he also would try to tell people how to avoid their deaths but that only made the villagers fear and shun him from ever going near them ... After some years mc came to the village to sell talismans to protect them from dying or bad luck , some villagers recognized him from afar so they went to kick him out of the village again but they saw his handsome face so they were taken a back . He proceeds to perform some kinda of ritual in a big wooden stick ( to earn money ofc ) and catches the eye of a high aristocratic who takes fancy in mc, he then starts to gift mc pork and wine ( who was typically gifted to your future partner aka wife ) mc first accepted the gifts bc he was giving it to his now elderly father while rejecting the " young masters " advances to have sexual intercourse ( i think ) that made the " young master " mad so it led to a fight and the death of mcs father ( fyi the father is very nice and he has a tragic backstory not this long but very sad ) .
