The key word is that he never saw them as his adoptive parents..he from the start saw Cain as his owner so he can develop feeling for Cain but still it's unacceptable and i need him to get his shit tgt and leave my babies alone

Though I kinda get it in my head that as, Anonymous, said, he never really saw them as parents and that since he's a vampire, he may not be bound by the same emotion and morality that humans have. So, I CAN kinda see why it may be possible for him to develop feelings.

I think Ver has conflicting feelings. What he is considered as love is just lust caused by consumption of blood + We have to add the gratitude/affection he has for Cain. This is the only way I can see the situation
Perhaps since he was being abused all his life being treated gently confused his feelings. It makes sense that he would love cain since he was the first person to give him affection and kindness but i just dont understand why it had to be romantic love. He was a child

I wanna understand his side but as smn raised by adoptive parents this whole thing baffles me immensely. There is a very clear line between parental and romantic affection.
I would’ve loved it more if vercike was actually just their adoptive child who got traumatized by his parents death millennia's ago and became bad or smt. Not this incestous plotline.
