i’m willing to give a tree without roots a second chance actually, but i guess i will just hate read it out of pure spite. there was just something about heeseo that i absolutely hated, and not in a way that wanted me to read more. and i probably had such a visceral reaction to that story because it was quite hyped up and i was expecting something much better. with how i despised heeseo as a character, i couldn’t get invested into the whole drama of his relationship with taekyung, and besides that relationship, the plot was just pretty boring.
as for vivarium, i started reading it without any expectations and was positively surprised because there doesn’t seem to be any traditional romance in sight, at least not in the near future, and the dynamic between the mc and ml is quite interesting. but i don’t think it’s a spectacularly written story by any means, and i honestly think that warehouse handled the confinement trope much better.
ok this shit is actually good. can’t wait for more chapters with official translation. i really like it so far and i’m really glad that there’s finally a story with kidnapping, confinement and rape that is fucked up but still actually well written and not just some bullshit story with no plot that’s masquerading as romance lol
