It's reallyy long and heavy on politics and magic but it's really soo good!! I think season 1 ended on chapter 45-47 and it followed the novel quite closely but I highly suggest to read it from chapter 1 as very small but precious details were unfortunately lost in the adaptation!

I’m reading the novel now and wondering if it’s complete? So curious about the story and Im around 100 chapters in, it’s really well done but don’t feel like investing too much energy if it’s not complete. Also, what are your opinions on the novel?

IMO it’s a great read, I don’t often read web novels cos I prefer visual media but I got so hooked by it that I binge read the first 400 chapters over the course of a weekend. (There were only about 400 chapters for free at the time that I started reading.) I don’t actually know if it’s complete but given that novelingua has a system to access chapter early by paying and they’ve recently taken on several new projects, I’d imagine they’ve probably got a lot of finished translation chapters that they did in advance and just have set up with a release schedule. Anyway I’d definitely recommend it in terms of a casual read by the time you catch up with the release schedule (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
