I hate what author is doing to Izumo too--- Like wtf this is so dumb. He has no set up whatsoever and he's jus thrown around. He was basically raised by Kyoichiro, it doesn't make sense that he joined Asa even if he was invited afterwards. That's so---
Like it's so dumb. What is the author even trying to say?
I feel like the author might be pressured to go faster because it's not as dedicated as other series. Like, BSD has a really strong fanbase so even if they post one chapter every year there will be a lot of people who will join, but mission yozakura has always been sort of in the shadows of shounen anime, compared to jujutsu kaisen and demon slayer (which IMO are both way worse tbh... they're kind of generic) so it never really got the traction that it needed to be dedicated.
It's like katekyo hitman all over again. Katekyo hitman went well for like the first 300+ chapters and then it just started rushing because people simply didn't like the new arc and would drop it so it was really rushed and felt incomplete. Like there were 60+ chapters of filler before and the 'end' was like one page. So, if the ending to mission yozakura isn't that well liked or it never really shines, they'll try to push the story to an end. They won't axe it because it's already 200+ chapters, but they will push the authors and ngl, that's the main issue. it might've been pushed starting from the three year time skip or smth idk.
Maybe they want to start a new fresh wave of shounen series to go after which is so stupid.
(⊙…⊙ ) just let me live in my Izumo-is-a-good-friend world please author... I swear he's going to write that Izumo was secretly Asa's secret offspring made from water lilies and orange peels or smth.
WAHHH KAI PLS he's been my favorite character since he first showed up and I can't believe this, idk if it for plot twist reasons or smth but it feels so ooc of him to just betray kyoichiro like that, I mean if we DID get to see the effects of his power and more of his pain of losing his family and not just kyoichiro saying it, I feel like it wouldn't be as hard to accept
tbh I feel like the whole defeating asa arc is way too rushed and a little all over the place, way too much time was spent focusing on the twins rather than the actual goal of defeating asa, the reason why the taiyo training arc was my favorite is because we got to see taiyo grow stronger and closer to the yozakura and becoming one of them, while simultaneously learning about each of the family members. I liked the bonds they created
But now that people are betraying them left and right it's probably only to solidify that family is the only thing you can trust or smth that kyoichiro said in the Early eps which is
I'm done with my yap fest I'm gonna go cry about kai
