The characters are also in the dark, that 's why it makes sense the author leaves us in the dark. To me it's also what keeps the thrills and makes it a thriller, we don't know what / who '' Hikaru '' is and what he is capable of so he might be a monster a killer a big head snatcher or none of those things. He's '' something we don't know '' that's what makes us feel what the MC might feel while he is facing the unkown. ( If someone is going to explain please give warning for spoilers ) i don't know from when we are supposed to have a clear idea of what is going on (??) maybe give a chapter mark ?? (??) Personnally i didn't want to understand (not yet) i just know there is '' something unholy '' about the indohs but where is this coming from (how did it start precisely.) ? It just feels spine chilling for now. I am totally okay not knowing x-) i am a little bit a scaredy cat =^^'=

Basically in ye olden days hikaru's ancestor's wife died and begged the mountain god to bring his wife back and he'd give the god all the heads he'd want and then she did come back but a third of the village died in head related accidents as a sacrifice or price (people were already worshipping the mountain god and presenting sacrifices I think so by asking the mountain god for something it was really bad) plus since the wife's head was chopped off for some reason she died again cause she was just a head. So every 5 years or so the Indoh men have to apologize to the mountain god for their selfish request all those years ago and carry that dead wife's head (they still have it) and whenever they leave it there it always finds a way to come back down so they can do the ritual again. So it's right to assume that Hikaru's father died apologizing and Hikaru himself died while going to complete the ritual.


There's an indoh family superstition that if you get married into the indoh family you're safe from the brainsnactcher.
