Me and my two older brothers ignore each other in public, just when we're hanging out with our own friends. It's just that we don't want to announce to the whole world that we're related.
i feel like if your sibling is significantly younger or older than you, then you develop a little bit of a parent-child relationship with them. while siblings with less of an age gap (< 3 years or so) have more of the classic rivalry/hate-love relationship that's portrayed in media.
Ah is that so.. In our case its the opposite.. We are always excited when we bump in public and eager to introduce or wave to each other..
