People being 20 in 1990 or before for example and realizing they were gay as adults, there is a slight exception there. Many didn't know they were homosexuals or were forced to bury it deep in their mind. It is not the here and now where people get that there is homosexuality, where the the internet provides a lot of info. People were going through their lives as it was dictated by their families (arranged work, arranged marriages) and suddenly realizing that something is wrong. We must not be quick to judge someone in a very different and distorted reality than the one we know
I am also queer and live in a violently homophobic country so I understand what it mean to hide who u are to be accepted but cheating is never excusable leaving ur wife/husband and starting a new life is understandable but cheating just because u are queer is unforgivable cheating destroy ppl lives and mental state
Yes but in this story we get only the info "he destroyed my family". So we do not get any details if there was any cheating. Dad realizing he is gay and fell in love with a man while he was married yes, but for all we know he might ask for a divorce immediately when this happened. But kids don't mind if there was cheating or not, they believe the other man was the reason their family was split, period. They wouldn't understand the concept of homosexuality, social taboo and things. They just see that another being make their dad leave their mom.
I agree ....but that wasn't my point I was addressing the comments justifying cheating and I said if it was a story about him cheating on a man with a woman ppl wouldn't justify it ppl would of had empathy for the S/O instead of the cheating couple
Ppl saying it's OK to cheats (when nothing in this story said anything about cheating) also if ken dad did cheat on a man with a woman yall wouldn't be so forgiving why do yall.lose all sense when it come to female characters ...
