
You sound like you know for sure, but in the story it doesn't say who he wants. You might want to qualify your statement with an "I think it's Chris" instead of "Chris, of course"
Some people would disagree with you on this. Miyuki is a realist, not easily swayed by emotions. He might very well have meant that he wanted sawamura. Miyuki is well aware that Chris's injury will make it impossible for him to return to the team at this time, so why would he be wishing for something he knows is impossible?
That just doesn't fit his pragmatic character.
I don't know which character he is hoping for. It's annoyingly vague, and I don't think it's a good thing to leave unanswered in a story where the audience is already left with an infuriating cliffhanger on every chapter. That's my opinion. if anything I said sounds blunt or rude, please accept my apologies.
When miyuki said there's someone he's really hoping for to make it into the varsity team in ch36, is he having Chris or sawamura in mind ... :o
