I get you being upset about chapter 2, but the car scene obviously isn’t when he’s in his right mind. It’s his rut that affected him. That’s the most basic part of omegaverse heat and rut. If it’s been shown in multiple omegaverse stories that an omega mc cannot resist and acts differently when they’re in heat, how come the same doesn’t get thought of when it comes to an alpha being in rut? It should be the same, but because authors tend to like writing alpha MLs as the most powerful one or the one that can magically resist instincts that no one else can- people start to believe that rut for alphas is controllable just cause one can.
It goes both ways and I hate the excuse of heat or rut because that’s like saying “they were drunk they didn’t think right” and blabla. Those three chapters are just absolutely wild and for what? Did the author just did all that for Euihyun to become pregnant or to show taeju guilt for taking advantage? Whatever it is Euihyun was also starting to trust taeju but then boom the rut happen and that trust went down (even though it’s gained again because … BL always tend to forgive which is wild). I still wish the baby was made by love but whatever. Wish I can move on from it like everyone else and love taeju but I can’t
Unfortunately not everyone thinks like you that it goes both ways. Most people who read omegaverse often let omega mc’s who act different in heat slide, but alphas in rut, they criticize.
Anyways I definitely don’t think that comparison is accurate? Heat and rut is no where close to being drunk. Heat and rut is much closer to taking an aphrodisiac or being drugged. It happens against their own will and I’ve never seen an mc or ml proudly get in rut and heat, they always think it’s the worst condition of their body. Drinking is mostly by choice and people can choose to drink the amount they want. Being drugged is a different story. I think if you read omegaverse stories, you should know what the actual comparison is to better understand the genre and how it works. Drinking is a choice, a body condition where you’re not in your right mind and are unable to control your own words and body (like being drugged) isn’t.
I understand what ur saying just my thoughts of it won’t change, I’ll always hate the rut/heat situation that causes someone to be a victim aka here is Euihyun. With that being said hope everything turns out only well once Euihyun is saved. If he got pregnant from the car scene then it is what it is (disgustingly), just wish I can forget like how some readers would lol
Look I want to love taeju I really do because he’s genuinely a good person to Euihyun but what he still done to him it’s still so disgusting (the car scene and ch2) that I just anytime there’s signs of Euihyun pregnancy I just get disgusted. Wish the baby was made by love and care then a damn alpha not being able to control himself aka grape.
