That’s right! I was actually really impressed by how she’s really doing what she’s asked of, and that’s being a villain for ya!
She is one of my favourite characters. A useless father, a useless son, and a useless cheating husband. And she still was able to win before Tia regressed. So independently of what anyone says, she is a badass. Also she is doing the same as Lombardi really. They are all trying to monopolize power to themselves, difference is that the Lombardi in the 1st timeline weren't trying to kill Angenas but now Tia is trying to destroy them.
Technically, she still did lose out in the end once Perez gains footing. Both timelines we see the imperial family decline and I believe Angenas' greed is the reason for it. Difference is that this time, Lombardi survives thanks to Tia's maneuvering.
Lavini is one of my favorite villains in manhwa. Like- she's one of the perfect example of how a villain should act

Her biggest problem was not killing Perez for once. She prolonged it as a dumb idiot and suffered the consequences of it. Her husband cheated and had another child that would become a threat to hers. She rightfully wanted her son on the throne. But she should have educated him to be a good person and a good emperor, instead of focusing so much on doing everything and allowing the kid to became an incompetent.
She had a chance to kill Perez when the emperor turned a blind eye and she didn't do so.
She had a chance to educate her kid and she failed that.
Everything else was a consequence of these two mainly dumb decisions.
Ohh and also I think that of she had success in killing Perez and her current child became emperor, Angenas would eventually take on the royal family. But werether they would eventually become a threat to the empire itself can be discussed. Can a puppet emperor and a greedy family in the backstage make an empire prosper? I think she would govern properly for a while but after the 1st prince becomes the emperor she would be cast aside as we can see already happening. It would lead to international conflicts and maybe to the fall of the empire in the some decades. Without Lombardi the Angenas greed would run rampant and corruption would spread even wilder. So I think it's quite good that's not what happened.
I wonder, if she had been born a man in the imperial family, she would have made a great emperor.
Actually that's up for debate. Personally I think even without Perez, the Empire wouldn't prosper under her rule. It's mainly due to her want to be the only one in power. Yes, Angenas wins but the main reason why the Empire worked was because Lombardi had handled the money so well. In first timeline, Lombardi fell so fast and so swiftly under such incompetent leadership that I doubt the economy had time to recover. Angenas taking over their businesses is incredibly naive of them to believe things would be smooth sailing. They'd be tyrants and wouldn't really hold loyalty from their people. It would have been a different matter if they were patient about taking over Lombardi ventures but nah. Angenas fam are greedy af

honestly i applaud the empress for how strong and ambitious she is. unfortunately the leads are too OP in here and she cant catch a break lmao. we need more villains like this. not those brain dead only likes the mc or ml type of villains.
