I don't think so, or maybe the kisses on the cheek /air that women usually do when they meet their friend/clique.etc.. pda is considerably lower than western countries than in most Asian countries, (you don't even kiss your SO in public, the most you could do is hold hands and walk.)
They have a more conservative culture. And they don't even like each other (yet) and they aren't dating (yet).
that is a stereotypical joke like how westerners joke about how they think all Asians are from China, mathematical geniuses, know kung-fu etc...

- asian doesn't only refer to ppl who are Chinese, Japanese etc, it also includes ppl who are from India, Sri Lanka etc

And stop assuming I do not know what I'm talking about. Furthermore, I was pointing out the fact that the characters are still strangers and don't have feelings for each other yet. In most cultures, you don't going around kissing strangers/ppl you dont know/ppl you don't have feelings for. Sure some ppl do that, it's also probably considered harassment. And some ppl don't.
