I'm not trying to defend the ML or anything, but from his perspective, the FL was actually very suspicious, especially when she had to disguise herself and run away. The ML doesn't know that she just wanted to see her family, and I also understand why the FL is worried as it could put her family in danger since the ML appears very ruthless. They lack communication and trust, so let's wait and see how this goes ლ(´ڡ`ლ)

I think he's in love too but won't ever recognize so he acts on pure action to keep her at his side ( sure it doesn't excuse all but don't know why I find it fun)....

I agree but seeing how possessive he already is towards the fl, even after finding out he will not freely let her go. I feel like he will hide that he knows that she's not a spy and keeps her locked up with the same excuse he first used on her to keep her by his side...
