What an ending....what just happened?

I think he said he's gonna ease up on his obsession behaviors bc he realized the MC likes it when he's nice to him. Big surprise.
But he will up the crazy again if the MC wants to be independent. If the MC wants to work, have friends, or maybe even go out of town w/o him, he'll be on him like white on rice trying to sabatage him along the way. (つω｀*)
