If you’re sensitive to rape torture and general crazy shit, it’s not the story for you especially right now. Personally I liked the novel and the character development but I understand why people don’t like the story. It takes a long ass time for it to get there and the manhwa is nowhere close to it. I do think it’s a well written novel, but in general I’d say wait because it’s just going to be pain for a long while.
More detail about what’s going to happen, right now we’re at the first time Zhenya (ML) has assaulted taekjoo (MC) and taekjoo is planning on destroying “Anastasia” but after that plan fucks up, he gets kidnapped to zhenyas private island and held captive. He also gets assaulted and tattooed against his will a few more times my bae taekjoo stands on business tho and still fights back but it’s quite bad. He escapes dw and zhenya gets his karma but they do still end up together so yeah
Tbh the only reason I stayed was bc of taekjoo he really stands on business the entire time and it’s refreshing he doesn’t take that shit and lowkey zhenyas development was pretty good but if that doesn’t interest you then you probably can skip this one
You should let it marinate some more bc the build up rn is just straight up annoying
