I don't think I'd be reassured to find out he had eight colognes he regularly rotates between. Sounds like a commitment issue, or he doesn't really know what he likes. Also begs the question, why did he stop using cologne when his ex came back into town?

Actually some interpretations of wearing cologne/diff types of cologne are "to generally fit in into society" and "hide your true self; hide your secrets" I jst simplified it but you could google it..sorry im to lazy bcause im using my phone
Anyway I think those were also the reasons why Misaki wears different types of cologne even though he is unconscious of what he is doing. (He thinks he deserves to live alone..he's gay...he tries to act "normal" by society standards by sticking with female coworkers...etc)

When his ex came back into town was around the time that he is having a dilemma with his feelings for Mikado..again, that was Mikado's point of view. I'd like to think it as "the reason why he stopped wearing cologne is because of Mikado because he doesnt need to hide anything anymore..atleast from him. Because that's romantic lol
