any narrow-minded readers here aren't welcome. If you do not accept, any modern and open concepts of people's sex lives (shocking really how do u live in 2024) and would go about and complain in the comments how carcel is manwhore (he's not) for not having ines as his one and only hole to enter. this isn't for you. If you measure a person's worth by their purity (strangely as 60% of comics here are about sex) kindly exit this page.

It's so tiring to have the same argument all over every update, the story isn't about this anymore, they already love eo how is this issue still here :/ it honestly spoil the readers fun to discuss the story when all of the comments are about this. Instead we go here defending the characters weekly yall should get over it by now.

It’s more frustrating (saying this as a grown woman) that people defend FLs who have been neglected by their husbands and how the political marriage being no commitment. And as they should defend of course, but why is it double standards?

Here ML, Carcel, has been neglected by Ines since their forced engagement BY INES. And it’s political marriage, so how is it cheating when neither committed or established a relationship?

THE FUUUUK. This is what pisses me off. If y’all gonna defend, do the same for men.

Double standards indeed. They tirelessly call male leads trash for ignoring their female leads all the time but Ines can get away with it simply because she’s a woman. When the things little Carcel suffered because Ines chose him, they will gloss over it because he is a male.

There’s one user in my mind that really acts as if what Ines did is not as bad as Carcel’s “cheating”. It’s really a horrid mindset.

They’re just projecting their own selves on Ines because Ines doesn’t think Carcel did her wrong. However, Ines does take it to heart when she learns how a small child like Carcel was injured by someone much bigger than him because she chose him without any care for his life. Like she said, it was like little Carcel dealing with a mountain.

Funnily, Carcel’s own mother will bring up Ines’s indifference in ch74. So we see someone other than the leads observe that she ignored him during the engagement period.

Damn, can’t wait! And thank gosh for readers like you and some others who actually read and aren’t hypocritical, biased, and narrow minded.

Is it bad that I’m still shocked about how some people actually focus so much on the “cheating” part and skip over the fact he never wanted the engagement nor was there any commitment?

I have seen too many of these types of readers to be surprised by them. I think I’m jaded now to not expect that they will keep bringing up cheating. I have seen it every week on here. There is even someone who complained about not being able to forget Carcel cheated and because she wasn’t getting a lot of agreement here, she posted the exact same thing on Reddit. Some Reddit BR lovers came out strongly against her stance then she deleted her Reddit post.

There are readers like her every week. I don’t know why they insist on complaining when they can simply move on to a story and main characters they like. There are many pure main characters out there. Inés doesn’t consider herself pure and neither does Carcel consider himself pure.

Lmaoo running to Reddit all because of this is crazy. I would’ve reacted differently HAD Carcel slept around when he established a wedding ceremony/marriage with Ines and during their love blooming. But NO, that isn’t the case here.

They can most definitely move on and stop ruining the vibes. One even told me how neglect can be explained and excused, but cheating can’t be. And how they’re concerned that Ines was kissed by Carcel without consent, yet not concerned that Carcel was forced into this? He never consented to the political marriage either.

Her consent matters, his doesn’t; double standards and hypocritical people who don’t even read properly.

I can’t enjoy some stories cause of these types of people who complain and drop, then continue to complain. Some are definitely projecting their personal life/relationships, probably had issues with cheating from someone they loved or themselves.

Both MCs are flawed as you say and that is what I love, neither of them are too op or superior over the other, and their relationship doesn’t develop fast either.

Not sure why they’re not mad at Ines for trying to get Carcel to commit adultery after marriage. I remember joking to one of my fellow novel fan that it’s like she’s a pimp for her husband by seeking out women and inviting them into their home. Then she gives them encouragement to seek out Carcel in their bedroom. But, no, they’re only mad at him when he was single but not mad at her to entice him to commit adultery.

Manipulation, brainwashing and abuse only matters when it’s a female lead. Maybe it will matter to them when it’s a second male lead too. However, without a doubt it won’t matter to them when it’s the male lead or second female lead. That’s the infamous and hypocritical stance of a vast majority of manhwa readers.

There are so many readers like that. Just look at the comments for this chapter. All they see is that Isabella said Carcel is not new. Meanwhile, Isabella also said she saw that Ines showed ZERO interest in her son. That shows the only thing they care about is Carcel’s past and not the fact that Ines completely ignored his existence until now.
