It seemed pretty insignificant to me. Neither of their ages is ever mentioned and "he looks too young to be his father" meaning the age gap can't be that humongous. They're also both fully working adults.
But I guess everyone has different limits. I also hate age gaps, but if the younger one is older than college or highschool age, I don't mind that much. Unless the difference is like 20 years
