I know ido is being good and all but I feel so uneasy whenever he speaks. i kinda get the feeling he purposely is making the situation with sejin's family get worse. like, I know they're abusive to him, specially the dad, but ido seems to take attitudes that bring them more on edge.
and that time that ido was working late everyday and came back home when sejin called, just sounded so manipulative, like he wanted to make sejin miss him so he would become more dependant on him.
maybe I'm reading to much in this, but I don't think he's so green flagged (although he's probably a lot better than in the past)

    Spoiler be warned!

It is actually the opposite. The reason why Ido is working late is because he will take down Se-jin’s dad. He will absorb the Hea-sin. All of it will happen in the future he just move it forward because he got pissed when Se-jin’s dad slapped him. This also connects with the reason why he asked Se-jin to stepped down from his role. In the first TL his father framed him of the embezzlement and tax evasion case which caused Se-jin to get in prison. Ido got him out there. That’s why in this TL Ido will make sure that Se-jin’s family won’t be able to touch him.

He also wanted Se-jin to be independent and to stand up on his own and after he made sure that he can already now be independent Ido plans to die well that didn’t happen anyways because Se-jin got back together with him. Se-jin also told Ido if what does he think will happen to him if Ido will take his own life. If in the first timeline Ido followed Se-jin to his death Se-jin will too follow Ido if Ido dies.

Oh thst makes a lot of sense. But why did ido follow sejin to his death? It seems like in sejins first like ido hated him and tortured him a lot

Remember when his father told him to steal the program from Ido? In the first timeline he stole it. Ido asked for the reason, he basically asked and asked Se-jin again for the reason or any excuses for that. He just want Se-jin to make excuses and he will believed it but Se-jin out of shame didn’t give Ido any excuses. Ido got angry because he thought that Se-jin never really loved him. In his drunk moment he even told Se-jin that “In Se-jin’s heart there’s only his father and Hea-sin.” “Where am I even there?” “I was never there.” Then after that, that is the scene where Ido said he will make Se-jin regret it.

That’s why in the second time line, when Se-jin didn’t give the data. Ido was happy because in this time he was the priority and that Se-jin chose him
over his father whom he owe so much.

that's good them. not knowing the motive behind ido's actions is so strange because we (who are just reading here) know that he's aware of his past life but because we didn't see it happen we don't know what exactly happened and why's he acting the way he is.
thanks for the spoilers, I'm more at ease now
