    They cut into a lot of layers. 7 layers. The skin, the fat(adipose) layer, the fascia, muscles, peritonium, uterus and amniotic sac. And the make different cuts too, vertical and horizontal depending on the layer. And those layers are stitched back individually. The muscles are cut vertically, hence women who have undergone c-section have a big chance of their abdominal muscles literally splitting into two from the navel below. Another reason why women have "front butt". And sometimes the women aren't even educated on how to recover and they end up with big stomachs because their organs won't move back to pre-pregnancy places. And there's cases of hospitals pushing C-sections instead of natural births so they can charge more.
