Not defending his actions but like 3 years of his life has been kept from him. He can’t even trust his own family and his mother put people around to spy on him. Yes memories loss can cause personality change since you don’t remember the you before, idk what you consider to be “traumatic” but getting into a car accident where you nearly lost your life and lost a great amount of your memory is in fact traumatic.

I just don't understand how he is the same person. Sure, he lost his memories but the old him, was it just an act?? Cuz I don't think people can have a whole personality change unless they had a real traumatic experience.
Correct me if I'm wrong but getting into an accident and losing memories does not count for me. All people deserve respect, and even more so when you are in love with them.
