What do you mean, pitiful? This seems to be almost entirely an act. I mean yeah, the author is pulling the strings, but there are multiple scenes, this chapters nightly visit included, where Liz is clearly manipulating people. Kilian in particular is the simp she can't stand to lose.
If you read the novel, she'll try to frqame edith of trying to kill her, but she'll fail.

Lize-ard is one who is controlling everything around her. There's nothing to pity about her. The story is only going to get dark after this......there's so much more she's going to reveal to Edith which honestly made me wanted to kill that bish personally(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
i like that we're kinda switching from Edith being the MC to Killian being the MC as he becomes aware. would be neat if they did this for each character's awakening.am i the only one for feels a bit bad for lize? she's kinda pitiful.
