Ugh this new arc is so momentum breaking. The early seasons established the world, romance between Albis and MC, and the potential conflict with yandere Vercion - getting the audience invested in the established characters. Then you just whisk away one half and to this new place and establish even more characters! It's all so exhausting and diverges from the existing emotional build up. It's not like the introduction of the ex is a bad thing, but all this could have happened later on instead of right this instant.

    I think vercion changing instantly was weird af like no buildup just*boom* Look! he's no longer a rapist! Like nahh

    I think the author is going for more of a harem vibe at least for now, so introducing a buncha new characters in a new location was needed for that since the chemistry with albis was too good lolol
