People prefer the cliche and common tropes and hate on psychological

But yeah it's lame that people rated it low because it's not trite.
But to be fair, after skimming some of the lower rated reviews with comments, I noticed a few readers seem to have a particularly low tolerance for rape and murderer (both of which were attempted in ch 1) so, I guess if they're too triggered to hold out until ch 2, I can't really fault them.
Those are pretty common triggers after all, haha.
I don't really think it's fair to just chalk it up to "hate"... people have their own preferences, and if they don't like reading a story that starts with rape and attempted murder, that doesn't really mean they "hate" on psychological stories or that they only like clichés.
I mean, I saw you in another comment asking if this story includes cheating or one of the characters sleeping with other people; should that also be called you "hating" on stories with complex relationship drama or on sexually liberated characters? Probably not, right? That's just your preference, not hate. Same applies the other way around.

Me hating something IN a story doesn’t equate to hating THE story. I still read even if I don’t support rape, I mean I don’t have to if I want to read and enjoy the story.

Sure, but someone not liking this particular story and rating it low doesn't mean they only like cliché tropes and "hate on psychological" either. Someone can be completely fine with reading dark stories (e.g. me) and still think a dark story just isn't that good (also me), which leads to them rating it low. I personally think this story overuses rape and abuse to the point where it just seems to be there as a shock-factor rather than anything else. Does that mean I hate all stories that include rape? No. Does that mean I "hate on psychological" stories? No.
If you're the type who's willing to explore stories that contain tropes/themes that usually put you off, good for you! But not everyone's like that, and they're not wrong for it, nor are they a "hater." Seeing "psychological" in the tags doesn't automatically mean they should know they're signing up for a story with repeated rape scenes, abuse, and attempted murder, and if they choose to bow out and rate the story low because they didn't like it, that doesn't mean they hate all psychological stories. They just didn't like this particular one.

That is my point. Not everyone can handle dark stories that involves taboo topics. I’m not talking about those mild psychological stories, but ones with dark side to it and explicit.
They’re not wrong for disliking it. My only point was that people who hate on psychological/dark stories are usually into the opposite of that. That’s all I’m saying or trying to anyways. And usually the audience is minors.
For example there’s stories psychological where it does not involve rape or anything explicit / it’s shounen ai, but readers still hate on it without fully understanding the story and just leaving because they cannot handle it, they aren’t used to it and I understand (not everyone is into psychological, is part of my point.)

It’s just based off what I’ve seen, people usually prefer the common tropes that focus more on somewhat cliche and overused tropes inside a story, and there’s still rape within some of the overused tropes but readers usually forget it as chapters go by or ignore it.

But this one isn’t something morally accepted nor common, the reactions are quite different. I don’t remember if there was any cheating here (I have short term memory) but I don’t believe there was cause they never established a relationship.

Since the comment you initially replied to was asking why the rating for this particular story were low, it came off as you saying the only reason why this story has low ratings is because people hate psychological stories as a whole. What I took issue with is the wording you used; it seemed to me you were dismissing any potential criticism of this story as mere "hate." Saying "people tend to like romance stories more than psychological stories" is one thing; saying they "hate on psychological" is a whole other.
And I personally don't think a psychological story is "mild" just because it doesn't include rape. If done well, a psychologically dark story doesn't need any physical abuse at all. Not wanting to read rape stories doesn't mean people can't handle psychological stories; it just means they can't handle rape stories.

I’ve seen readers who ignore the whole story and focus on some taboo parts, so I find it funny, they can’t handle it, and that’s fine at the end of the day.
People do hate on psychological. It’s not impossible to hate on something. Yes, there are people who do not like psychological stories.
It’s just how I see, I find some psychological “mild” as not too explicit or too subtle, in between. I’m not saying it’s not something shocking because I say “mild”, but rather how shocking it is TO ME or just the level of explicitness (pedo, gore, etc).
A lot of psychological stories or novels I’ve read are explicit and spreads awareness. I agree that it doesn’t need rape to be made a well done psychological story, but I personally don’t mind it because I’m more engaged and leaves me shocked. There are people who can’t handle it, and there are those who don’t mind reading certain taboo stuff.
I also mentioned those without rape involved I believe, but readers still hate on it and drop it. So yes some cannot handle psychological, everyone is different.

Mangas usually get lower ratings, under 9, while manhwas (even low quality ones) get at least 9
I think one reason is that mangas are monochrome while manhwas are polychrome
So imo if you come across a manga with an 8.7 rating or higher, it's good one
And for manhwas if it's 9.2 or higher
To give one example
Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai (an incredible manga with a fine plot) gets 9.5
And Dear Door (a good manhwa with an okay plot but fantastic art) gets 9.6
So yeah, it really depends on the readers' taste and preference
