My family doesn't know, but they don't even understand what mangas actually are - they think I read comics for kids :D My friends know that I read shounen-ai, but I deny reading yaoi, even in front of those who read mangas themselves ^^" Last year, I went to a comic con and I admitted to reading Viewfinder and Ten Counts, but I also told my friend they are the only yaoi mangas I read because of the incredible storyline :D
No, none of my families and my friends know that im reading bl, it's nice that you still have friends knowing you read bl, cuz actually i kinda want to tell some of my friends, but it's just hard for me, so no one knows
My sister and I both read yaoi but our parents don't know anything lol. I've been giving hints such as asking them questions like what do you think of gays? Gay marriage etc. And if they will ever find out that we read yaoi, I think they'll just ask some questions like why do we love yaoi etc. And then they'll just leave us alone XD
I'm a secret fujoshi too...I'm absolutely sure that if I were to ask my parents opinion on gay marriage etc, they might misinterpret and think that I am gay. That won't be good for me cuz my parents are actually really uncomfortable about gay people/marriage :'(
My parents don't know but my friend does. I told them and they were totally fine with it. It turns out that some of them also read yaoi. I haven't told my brother about me liking bl but i am pretty sure that he knows since i put a lot of (shounen-ai) posters (just to be safe) but i don't think he minds
Whereas I can literally see Narnia in my closet
My younger brother. Though he thinks I've quit. God knows I've tried, lol.
My mom can never find out because she'll use that as an excuse and say that I actually DO like sex (I don't), so I can give her her goddamn grandchildren that she wants so fucking badly. I swear, if that woman found out I'm a sex repulsed asexual, or if I came home with a girlfriend one day, she'd lock herself in her room and cry. It's okay to be queer as long as it's not one of HER kids. Irrelevant rant over, lol.
I was introduced to the marvelous world of BL by my sis... younger sis... kids these days sure are precocious... ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍
But yeah, almost everyone in the family knows we're reading porn manga (any kind) but since my uncle, aunt and father also read erotic comics (yes, they lent them to us too) they have no say on the matter ^^ They're okay with it (they didn't have a choice XD )
And my friends know too!
The only ones who don't know are my roommates... I didn't tell them because, funny fact: they are 3, one straight, one bi and one lesbian (sounds like the start of a very bad joke), and when I heard them say it I was like, okay, so they're open on LGBT+ things, and I told them I'm asexual... And they were like "what, that doesn't exist, you just didn't find the good one" (╯°Д °)╯╧╧ So I'm definitely not telling them I read gay porn =_="
mine do i very open about with my family and they dont judge me (58 y/o woman (straight)
Literally no one knows I read yaoi/BL manga. Not my family, norm my friends. It just feels weird talking about stuff like that, especially since we don't be rly communicate with each other in my family. I'm also scared that my friends would think im "weird" and feel isolated from the class...(although I know my classmates likes yaoi and she doesn't mind other people knowing)
Actually only 1-2 people in my class like it...
My entire family knows (I think my dad does too lol) after a few years of not making it obvious and no one really cares. Two of my sisters and one of my brothers read BL and I watch some BL anime with my mom. We are a pretty open family but my Father is a bit old school but he doesn't really say anything when my mom jokes about me watching gay porn. ( ̄∇ ̄")

does any of your family know that you read BL mangas? i recently dreamed of my sister accidentally finding out i read BL mangas and it got me have this weird feeling after i woke up, but srsly none of them know but my friends know and they're totally chill with it, and i have a friend who reads BL mangas too and we're really close we recommend fanfics to each other, she's more on fanfictions than mangas though. Im a fujoshi for 3 years now and still none of my family members know.
