I completely agree, I'm so glad I listened to everyone in the comments to go read it (and I appreciate people not doing the whole typical spoiler rounds, though to be fair, this isn't really a story that needs spoilering imo with how predictable some things are - which is not a bad thing, the novel is very enjoyable and fun to read, I've been having such a blast).

It sucks that the pacing is so bad, like okay I can get some people complaining about the art but it's really not that bad! It's pleasing enough on the eyes. It's just, it's much easier to stand somewhat lesser quality art than crappy pacing, there's no enduring the latter
