I also respect Kang for being honest and setting expectations. He's older and he knows it wouldn't look okay to cling to someone in his age. Basically he is saying that even if he does let Ahn go, it's not because he didn't love him but instead he loved him so much he is willing to let him go for Ahn's happiness.

I understand Kang completely. But couldn't he just go with the flow and be romantic, even Ahn knows what he said is true...even i know. It's good to end things in a good way...but it's fiction so i guess the author is trying to show us a couple's quarrel, not everything is pink i get it, but not everything is serious either so let's just get to the part where he gets jealous.
