Then in this scenario we have a subgenre, omegaverse, that is known for drastic power imbalance between the secondary genders and people are mad at the character who tried to make a break but ended up being taken advantage of by someone who has physical power over him.
They're judging Tomoe just as badly as the bigoted characters in the story. And I get that he wasn't necessarily perfect, but it takes two to cheat and at least he wants nothing to do with his ex anymore and is doing his best to move on.
