I agree with you in the first part. But in my comment the last part I said if it’s not that i apologize and that i was explaining from my perspective. I don’t remember saying anything hateful to you or anyone. Or trying to bash you for being a weird pervert? I was just trying to educate some of the people down in the comments who were taking it the wrong way

I’ven heard and seen strangers and friends denying they’re weird and still watch and read gay porn. No one calls themselves a fujoshi anymore unless you only read it for the smut or what I’ve seen online. But what I’m trying to say is that a lot of them tend to deny it even thought they jerk off to it. Which that is really weird imo. I was just trying to be jovial when I called myself a 'horny fujoshi.' This thread has gone in an unexpected direction.

I won't deny there's an element of fetishization, but the issue may be more with idealization. I can separate BL from real homosexual relationships because BL doesn't represent reality. They're gay relationships through a mostly feminine lens, so we neatly have a top and bottom as the norm, with the bottom taking the role of the female. Probably why omegaverse is so popular and many of us long to see what the couple's children would look like - even if it's not omegaverse.

It was the fetishistic angle, as if I was dehumanizing. I actually get bored if there's too much smut without context. For example I'm a fan of Love Shuttle, but zone out when a chapter or plus is just smut. I like smut with meaning, otherwise I wouldn't discern between titles.

My initial comment was meant to be jovial and I didn't want my fellow readers to feel attacked for my concern that they weren't engaged with the story and only cared for the romance aspect.
