Not so medieval; coming from a person who is a product of parents that had a 23 years age difference (the same age), mother in her teens and father in his mid 30's. But even i was hesitant to read this because i didn't want to see a romantic relationship between such a mentally and chronologically young girl but i am glad i read it
Been a fan of stretched age gaps since I was 12 years old, Im 25 now and this creeped me out a bit. It was so realistic and touching but wth, 10 years old and 31, for real, medieval times when 40 year-old dukes married 12-year-old, well it reminded me of those novels.. but the ending made up for it. Nice read
