    The way I analyzed it was that, due to the fact that, the situation is getting worse, Asami probably does not want Akihito involved. So, Kirishima was relieved that Asami was not going to get Aki from the temple anytime soon BECAUSE, Asami seems to get irrational (will probably give up large sums of money, or go on a killing spree), gets hurt (shot) or become hasty (makes quick decisions on the spot without thinking about them) when it comes to Aki. Lets be honest here, when Aki is involved, Asami loses lol and who can blame him, it is the only person who he has ever loved, or wants.

    lol its true - Asami does lose it when Aki is involved. He will pick him up when all the commotion dies down :)

    Ahh! Yeah it makes sense. I just felt a bit unsettled. But you're right!

    he will no longer go to pick up aki simply means that asami used to go and pick up akihito in dayly life.
