She would be treated like that even if the story wasn’t Korean, illegitimate children with no manners and achievements generally don’t get treated well among influential families. The fact that her mother is a rapist wasn’t revealed to the public, so idk why you brought that up. The family have the right to hate Seori, since her mother raped the father, and Seori wants nothing but horrible to them. People in the comments generally hate Seori because she’s malicious to everybody, she uses others for her own gain, she doesn’t show any respect to the people around her

Yeah you'll never see me defending her in general cause she sucks ass.
And yeah high society in general is like that, but it's especially poignant in Korea. If you've talked to Koreans, the bullying there is no joke. Especially for dumb reasons like just for having divorced parents or a single parent. Just, things that are out of the control of the person who they're targeted to.
I really really hate it.
Also, where did you see me ask why people hate her? I don't even know her name, she's bland and just as classcist as the rest. I think I was pretty clear I did not like her character, and that I wanted her gone(her biggest crime personally is stupidity tho that really riles me up)
I'm just saying a lot of the points the manhwa is using to hate on her is literally "oh, she's a bastard child. She doesn't belong here" instead of the very real criticizable things she's done.
And I'm mentioning her mother because c'mon. It's obvious it's going to get revealed to the public and that it's going to be the final nail in the coffin to her character. Not just high society, but normal Korean society is going to get wind of it due to that reporter and they're going to destroy her.
Which I'd agree with, if it weren't for it being due to something out of her control. There are real children of rape alive today, who deserve just as much respect as the next person. A parents crime does not define you. Imagine them reading this?

The general public in the story doesn’t hate Han Seori yet though, they are prejudiced because she’s not a legitimate child, but it happens literally everywhere. It was revealed that she’s arrogant and doesn’t treat service staff well, and she didn’t even get that much hate for it. For the stupid decisions and unnecessary malicious actions she suffers little consequences in the story. Also I didn’t hear about her being a child of rape getting exposed, I think it may never happen. I'm just repeating myself here, but it doesn’t matter it’s not her fault. The father shouldn’t have to see her, I also think the best choice would be to give her money and tell her to never show up in front of his eyes again.
Tbh like yeah the heroine sucks but? I wish so much of the hate she got wasn't for classcist bullshit reasons.
Like you can really tell this story is Korean in a way because of how they view certain matters.
Yeah she sucks but her being born out of a crime isn't her cross to bare.
Then there are things where they criticism her for not knowing the proper etiquette. Like, sorry she didn't grow up with a silver spoon? What do you want her to do about that?
She is pretty horrible and yeah I want to see her get ousted but I wish the reasons weren't such bullshit so I could hate her in peace. Instead I'm reminded of how classcist, heteronormative monolith society is, especially Korea's.
Just idk. Ew? Author wants to talk about being classless but they're the ones making a girl out to be disgusting cause she was born out of rape(they aren't outright saying it but it's obvious that's the intended effect...and just look at the comments)
(Obv still hate her tho lol)
