The timeskips (⌐■-■) we've only seen their last years, not so much in between that so imagine years of rivalry and also pining from Gideon, she's been really positive all these years and she's done all she can to avoid her past life so it may be that she got comfortable since after all, Gideon now is so much different from the Gideon of her past life
