I do get it... but I also get his reaction. Understanding the plight of others is one thing. Being threatened by them with their life is another. Mc had no obligation towards him and his company. If it was the other way and he the struggling composer that told the CEO he'd off himself if he didn't use his music for a popular group... the CEO would react the same way as him. And he even had the gal to blame him for his de@th... when he got on whatever desperate position because of other things.
Say what you want... in his place I'd never ever work with him nor his company in this second life. I'm not saying mc has a good personality... but I'd keep that grudge.
Understandable. I guess what I was looking for was the lack of finesse. MC wasn't able to defend himself from the backlash, causing everyone to misunderstand the context of the situation (me included).
But of course, that is already at the realm of the author, and that was they way they wanted to deliver it. MC not contacting a lawyer to divert the situation (realistically he should have access to a personal one if he is such a big shot), MC not having solid evidence of the circumstance (cctv, records of phone calls) and even having such a sour reputation which didn't help him at all. He was set up to fail.
Nah... I totally agree with that point in particular. Honestly it doesn't make sense how things went in the first timeline. No lawyer, pr nor investigation made... it also wouldn't make sense one music save a company if they were at a point the CEO was about to do something that drastic. Even more so if he was that much of an arsehole... someone that successful in such a field where there's a ton of plagiarism issues would have at least a team of lawyers on the ready.
Also... that is just me but... I don't really like the sister. Sure I get her being mad for him not being present... but I also feel she was kinda ungrateful... cancer treatment is not exactly cheap... and I doubt she was the one paying all the bills... cutting relations like that after his whole life went to the drain... even if I didn't hold a grudge... I don't think I'd me able to treat them the same as before in this second life... but that's just me...
But I do wonder how he'll interact with him (that CEO) in this timeline...
Yeah... idk if I'd be able to get over it like him... especially the sis... I get her blaming him for not being there but dang... he was also losing his father.. and his career too. And seeing her young and enjoying his money... I know is normal to act like that... but the contrast with 1st timeline... makes me dislike her more...

Normally people who know suffering relate the most to it and are understandable of the plight of others. But MC is just cut from a different cloth I guess, telling someone to die while his father is undergoing cancer treatment. (● ̄(エ) ̄●)
