Question tho

Giving benefit of the doubt but is the comic negatively portraying their dark skinned characters? Because I get the villainous older lady but the scene where the dark skinned lady was telling off the protagonist also seemed like they're pitting her as a villain too :/ I don't mind spoilers btw

Yeah I noticed that too and it's bothering me. They're portrayed as vilains and they're ugly. Well I'm curious about this story so I'll keep reading it for now

I dont know russian so i dont know the full context but there is also a scene where a black man was severely beaten, presumably for being gay. Its really heartbreaking and i hope there will be future chapters where black/dark skinned characters are portrayed in a more positive light.

Personally, but i dont find the black woman ugly or drawn offensively. I noticed that the author tends to draw characters with their racial(?) traits (ie: asians drawn with monolids and rounder noses, white characters drawn with more prominent facial features, etc.) As an asian i appreciate how she doesnt give every single character western features and differentiate them solely on their hair or eye colour, but give them varying facial features in a much more realistic manner.

Disclaimer: as previously stated i am not black and this is all my own personal opinion/observation so i hope i dont offend anyone. That was not my intention at all and i can see why people drop this manga by how they treat the black characters.

No, not really. She's more like an angry Diva not a villain and it's obvious that the reason why she gets so angry all the time is because she knows why she always loses against Simon (he's a white, handsome man and she's not).
